Los Angeles Rams logo history
The Los Angeles Rams introduced the LA-and-horn logo in 2020 and simplified its color treatment for 2026. The current version uses solid color; the 2020–2025 artwork used a gradient. Its central idea remains the same: the A extends into a curling ram’s horn, connecting the city initials to the team name.

Old
The older St. Louis-era logo shows an entire ram’s head with a large gold horn and navy face. The current mark reduces that animal to a horn integrated with LA.
What is the horn in the Rams logo?
The curve extending from the A is a ram’s horn. The horn joins the city initials to the team’s animal identity. The Rams also use a separate modern ram-head mark, so a head illustration and the LA primary logo are different assets within the same identity.
When did the Los Angeles Rams start playing?
The franchise began in Cleveland in 1936, joined the NFL in 1937 and moved to Los Angeles in 1946. It played in St. Louis from 1995 through 2015 before returning to Los Angeles in 2016. The old ram head belongs to the St. Louis era.
