Tennessee Titans logo history
The Tennessee Titans unveiled their current Shield logo on March 12, 2026. It uses a white T and three stars on a Titans-blue field with a red border. The new mark replaced the flaming-T identity introduced when the franchise adopted the Titans name in 1999.

The old Titans logo combines a circular T-and-stars badge with flames sweeping to the left. The current Shield removes the flames and uses a cleaner blue, white and red composition.
What do the three stars in the Titans logo represent?
The three-star motif connects the Titans to Tennessee’s state identity. The central T identifies the team and state, while the blue, white and red palette carries forward colors associated with the franchise’s earlier history. The separate football-shaped alternate mark is a different asset from the primary Shield.
When did the Tennessee Titans start playing?
The franchise began as the Houston Oilers in 1960, moved to Tennessee in 1997 and adopted the Titans name in 1999. The flaming T belongs to the first Titans era, including the Super Bowl appearance after the 1999 season. The current Shield begins a new logo era in 2026.
